Using clear tubing helps maintain the clean, streamlined look of the glass Lily Pipes- especially on ADA or trimless style aquariums. Because ADA systems route the filter inlows and outflows on the side of the aquarium instead of the back, the tubing is visible, thus making clear tubing visually more appealing than traditional green or dark tubing.
