Large pieces are generally over 24 inches on length, but remember each piece us unique. Our sizing categories are general, so please contact us with any specific requests or inquiries. Large pieces would see a usual application in an aquarium larger than around 30 gallons, but you may have a specific layout concept such as one where the driftwood is exposed above the water surface on a smaller open top aquarium, so a larger piece may be ideal, even though your aquarium is only 20 gallons. As well, you may likely need a combination of large, medium, and small pieces to complete your layout idea.
